Set REST API security preferences

Unisphere supports the management of settings (preferences) that allow the user to monitor and manage storage systems.

Prerequisites

Only a user with Administrator permission can set preferences.

To set system preferences:

Steps

  1. Select Settings icon to open the Settings panel.
  2. Select Security > Preferences.
  3. Modify any number of the following preferences:
    Security Authorization
    Allow authorization rule changes via REST API Clearing blocks all authorization rule REST API endpoints
    REST API Request Validation
    Validate REST API Requests Clearing disables server-side query and path parameter validation for REST API requests. This disablement is contrary to Dell security guidelines.
  4. Click Apply.
